2 vineyard problems and how we can deal with them

Here are some issues vineyards face and some possible solutions to address them. As an agronomist, I can share two common problems that we face in the outer part of our vineyards:
- Firstly, we often encounter entomological problems like the European grapevine moth.
To tackle this issue, we suggest using insect-protective formulations like chemical active substances, bacillus, etc., combined with fatty acids and polyalcohols to enhance their effect.
- Secondly, we also face mycological problems like powdery mildew.
To combat this, we recommend using a fungicidal formulation with a high-quality wetting agent to protect grapevines critically. Additionally, new products containing amino acids with a vital lipid phase can enhance the activity of fungicidal formulations.
These plant protection products
Not only act against agents that attack the plants and “stress” the vine.
In recent years, there has been a growing concern regarding the use of pesticides and the need for plant protection with as few pesticides as possible.
Today, we have alternative options, such as biostimulants, which are organic substances that stimulate
- the plant’s internal and passive defenses, such as phytoalexins, chlorophyll growth, etc.,
- as well as its passive defenses, such as cell wall reinforcement, cell lattice reinforcement, external protection bars, epidermal thickening, etc.
Did you know that
Biostimulants, for example, are organic substances that stimulate the plant’s internal and passive defenses, containing hydrophilic molecules, osmolytes, natural auxins, cytokinins, amino acids, etc., complexed with metals like calcium, copper, etc.
These formulations have been extensively tested and proven to be highly effective in enhancing plant protection while minimizing the use of pesticides.
